NASA Gets Ready for an Asteroid Impact: ‘It’s going to happen’

asteroid-impact

NASA recently opened up about their preparations for a future asteroid impact. The government agency initiated an emergency plan back in October 2016 where they practiced evacuating people in one Southern California town.

Their plan included a simulation experience featuring a strong chance of an asteroid hit. In an effort to better prepare for the looming disaster, they worked with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

NASA predicts the planet will be hit by an asteroid sometime in the future; as for when and where it will happen, nobody can accurately guess.

In the meantime, we should start taking our own initiatives to prepare for this disaster that could happen in our lifetime.  Unfortunately, asteroids are not something we can predict in a timely manner. If an asteroid was to hit, we would only 2 to 3 days at most to prepare.

We can and should keep a potential asteroid hit in the back of our minds when planning for a potential disaster. It's a good idea to plan ahead with electricity alternatives and stockpiling non-perishables.

It's also a good idea to arrange an emergency plan for your entire family so everyone can stay in touch even if everyone is separated.

Let's take another look at our previous report from NASA after the break.

Let’s not forget about Wolf Rayet 104. If that hits, there will be NO warning. It’s amazing that a pair of stars 8000 light years away could pose such a potential threat to Earth, far worse than any asteroid. At least it would be painless for all.

You know, I understand you can’t necessarily destroy it with a nuke. But you can damm sure hit it hard and knock it off course.

Yeah, von Braun warned people of n.a.s.a’s little asteroid warning and about the terrorists, and then the FAKE alien invasion. How is it he knew about n.a.s.a’s lil fear mongering. Because he was with the elite.

We get hit all the time by small ones. Some as big as your hand and some as big as a car. On average there is a significant impact every one hundred thousand years. We are over due. That being said there is nowhere to run from it if it does happen. You can go hide in a hole if you like but it won’t make any difference, you will be as dead as everyone else. Our planet is not fragile we are. The earth will still be here people won’t.
