Mosquito Bite Remedies – What Does and Doesn’t Work

mosquito bites

Last weekend I got close to fifty mosquito bites all of my feet and legs, and let me tell you, the itchiness and discomfort were awful. As soon as I got home I began to research what on earth could help cure me of this misery because I wasn't about to deal with what felt like the chicken pox for a week.

So I began to scour the internet for natural ways to ease the itchiness because I didn't want to buy Benadryl that would just put me to sleep. I had some Benadryl gel at home, but unfortunately, I was far away from home and I didn't feel like spending a ton of money at the grocery store. Where we were medication was a lot more expensive. Benadryl also puts me to sleep, so I wanted to try to stay away from OTC medications if I could.

When my mom texted me to buy vinegar at the grocery store, which is only about a dollar, I was skeptical. How on earth was vinegar going to help me? I wasn't sure if any natural home remedy could do the trick, but I was willing to give it a try.

After all, there's are a lot of “so called” cures for mosquito bites out there, but it's hard to know what will actually work.

After the break read about what actually works for mosquito bites — and what doesn't. A few surprised me and after giving one of these home remedies a shot, I can attest that vinegar actually worked for me!
