Make This Epic Bow From A Bike Rim

This is one of those projects that is not only amazingly fun to construct, but the end product is amazing to see in action.

By using an old bicycle tire, inner tube and catapult rubber, you can construct a compound-like bow that is inexpensive, has a rigid frame and great power output.

It also is lightweight, accurate and very simple to build.

The range is about 60 feet and would be perfect for hunting small game and fish.

This type of bow would be perfect in a survival situation or to hone your skills at shooting arrows short-range.

It is also the type of weapon you can make in almost any SHTF situation, because bicycles are everywhere.

    Won’t work. The rims are already bent and if they start bending too much they’ll collapse and snap if you try bending them back.

    $15 ( half-inch pvc pipe, couple fibergl$#%&!@* driveway markers and some 550 paracord – all available at local hardware store ) + hacksaw, sharpie and a small round file. And you have a very decent bow.

    I tracked your blood trail almost all the way home, followed your blood trail all the way to Teth’s house but didn’t know you lived right behind him, didn’t have a clue where you lived. My mom was freaking out just waiting for you to kick my $#%&!@* any day after that.

    Guess Carlos got me back for that like 6 years later when he rearranged all my teeth for me. My front tooth finally fell out from what he did to me that time 22 years ago, just about two months ago. Had to get a temporary false tooth. Yeah, that sucked. Don’t know if you ever heard about that, happened the year after we graduated high school, he punched all my teeth in. It sucked. But it taught me a good lesson. If someone says they’re going to kick your $#%&!@*, believe they’re going to try, and kick their $#%&!@* first. Haven’t ever gotten my $#%&!@* kicked again since then, 22 years later, I’ve never gotten hit first in a fight since. Good life lesson to learn.
