This is one of those projects that is not only amazingly fun to construct, but the end product is amazing to see in action.
By using an old bicycle tire, inner tube and catapult rubber, you can construct a compound-like bow that is inexpensive, has a rigid frame and great power output.
It also is lightweight, accurate and very simple to build.
The range is about 60 feet and would be perfect for hunting small game and fish.
This type of bow would be perfect in a survival situation or to hone your skills at shooting arrows short-range.
It is also the type of weapon you can make in almost any SHTF situation, because bicycles are everywhere.

@[1674233044:2048:Jeff], this site has your name written all over it! Like and follow! 🙂
It was on “woodsman” John. The guys out in the northwest living in the tree houses. It was the guy that walks around with only flintlock weapons. He shot a doe with it.
It was on the “woodsman”, I was thinking mountain men at first too
That’s right it was the woodsman.
Can’t decide if I like that show or not. I mean I guess the concept is cool but living in a tree?? In the northwest where forest fires are commonplace, these guys will end up losing everything at some point.
Yea … thats it … woodsman … my mistake …. i watch all those shows… got confused ….
So do I. I thought mountain men at first too, I like that one a lot better than the woodsmen. Those guys kinda seem like they are a bit off lol

Thanks John Paul ….
Like the guy trekking thru Alaska on mountain men, why would you buy a plot of land so far north? It’s not that hard to get off the beaten path up there, kinda just waiting for him to freeze to death so they can show more of toms story lol
Interesting shows … life below O … yukon gold … M M … love em … wife hates them … LOL
Coulda got droped off by chopper
