Make a Toilet From A Milk Crate With This Simple Tutorial

One challenge facing any survivalist that is trying to be self-sufficient is what to do with human waste. While most of us are reliant on municipal sources of water and a sewage system, what happens if either fails?

After a major storm it is not inconceivable that either or both could be compromised beyond use and it could last for days.

What do you do then?

This amazing emergency toilet is made of a scavenged milk crate, 5-gallon bucket, toilet seat, zip ties (or nuts and bolts) and pieces of wood. It is easy to make and if you use a humanure system with sawdust, can be used indefinitely.

In an emergency it is awesome, but you also could make one for use while camping or if you have a hunting / fishing camp that has no sewage or water.

The video on the next page shows you how to make it.
