Low Profile Weapons: Why a Survivalist Should Consider Adding to Their Current Arsenal of Weapons

man during post apocolypse explosions

At first glimpse, you may look at this title and assume we're going to tell you how you should discreetly carry switchblades, a pocket pistol, and maybe even brass knuckles.

However, even though these kinds of weapons are fantastic for defense (though be wary because they're not legal in every state), what we're going to discuss actually will focus on a different sort of “low profile” weapon altogether.

In a place where people have mass hysteria over potential threats of the “assault rifle,” which some people have named as the public enemy number one, today a low profile weapon should be a firearm that won't be that noticeable by people.

In other words, to fly under the radar and be a “gray man,” it's vital to own a weapon that won't draw a ton of attention.

After the break discover what a survivalist can do to keep himself on the down-low and armed simultaneously. The relevant information after the break will help you find some effective low-profile weapons!

A Ruger 10/22 is awesome with hollow points pair it with a concealed double stack 9, 40 or 45 and a minimum of 3 loaded mags not much gonna stop you. Here’s the ironic thing about this article the picture looks like Armegeddon yes.
Here’s the wisest choice always you may have encounters but it it’s Doomsday greatest advice Don’t Ever Go Looking For Engagement You’ll get Killed I Promise You That.
Instead get to your safe haven or desired bugout area maintain lowest possible outings and even if you have access to electronics avoid them completely & stay alive.

I would take an old milsurp bolt action over a lever any day. A lot easier to reload off stripper clips & more powerful, plus most lever calibers can’t match a bolts range…

not everyone can afford an arsenal of weapons. so have at least the basic ones.

I’m not worried about being the gray man or sticking out. I want to stick out!!!

Everyone in my area knows the “crazy gun guy” who is armed to the teeth… And they would all think twice or even three times before trying anything. The UPS man used to deliver 5 or 6 thousands rounds of ammo and leave it sitting on the front porch in plainly marked packages. No one dared steal it. Would you want to steal from the guy who had that much ammo???

It’s defense through intimidation… Kinda like why that US rolls 10 super carriers around the oceans of the world.

I have never seen a BB gun kill a rabbit or squirrel. You better rethink your thoughts.

Interesting. No mention of a basic mini14 with a wooden stock. With a 10 round mag it Looks very similar to a hunting rifle.

    To hell with low profile.

I want to be the guy armed to the teeth that the people have no question is armed to the teeth.

It’s defense through intimidation. The same reason the US has 10 Carrier Battle Groups that cruise around the world.

No thanks. Why diminish your defensive weaponry choices out of some feel good measure that does little to protect you?

As an avid gun owner and 2nd amendment supporter, I have no criticism, but this is my question. Do preppers carry a Bible in their pack and The Holy Spirit in their hearts? If you are prepared to survive are you also prepared for life after death. No amount of firepower will keep you alive forever, we are all going to die at some point. It appears to me that accepting Jesus into your life is the very first move of any real prepper. It is a sure thing and prepares everyone who does for the the long term reality.

I have no issue with any choice but the 1st one……. Unless I go out and purchase a lever action that shoots one of the “mainstream” calibers, What good will it do, when you can’t find ammo? I own a 35 Rem Lever action. But ammo is hard to find and more expensive than 223, .22, 308

Try a pocket full of sand and bicycle chain. Its cheap and its very effective and its legal.

Crossbow and concealment, you will run out of ammo sooner or later. 150lb with homemade arrows, learn how to make traps and grow food.
