Preppers and people alike fear spiders for a good reason. It's usually due to their big eyes, long legs, and those intricate webs they make to catch their prey.
If you were to ask a survivalist why he doesn't like spiders, most would say it's because they don't want to risk getting bit by one. Even though most of these creepy crawlers won't harm a person — the bite from a spider usually itches like a mosquito bite — there are still types of spiders that can harm you.
It's important to note that for every spider that isn't harmful, there are still too many that will cause a person grave discomfort. If you haven't heard of a brown recluse, you're about to learn why this spider makes the bravest survivalist squirm.
Why is this? If a prepper got bit by a brown recluse, they would need medical help. However, if a prepper bugs out a lot then receiving the proper medical care may not be possible.
What is a survivalist supposed to do if there's no emergency care available to them?
On the next page check out the steps a prepper must take if they're living off the grid and get bit by a brown recluse. If there isn't any emergency help nearby, it's up to a survivalist to understand how to treat the bite.

I used prickly pear root mashed in a piece of cloth. Put the poultice on it that night. Turned out ok.
I’m not tho
I’m dealing with brown recluse bite right now.i was bit saturday went to Dr today (Wednesday ).I waited to late hoping I could take care of it myself since it’s the first br recluse bite I’ve ever had. I think I made a bad judgement call.i hope it’s not to late.
I live in Kentucky and yes they will eat a hole in you if not handled properly
Been bit twice….really creepy…..Itchy as hell but when you go to scratch it the flesh just sloughs away….Takes months to heal…

I recently got bit by a mosquito and have been itching for days. I’ve taken sick time off of work and re written my will, wow the pain I’m in
went to the er my first time being bit, woke up to use the restroom at 2 am when one bit me on the foot.. Day two (still working/no hospital) it started to feel like my foot was on fire, day three i couldn’t take it. Had my dad take me to the er.. For three days i sat in bed with a heating pad while the nurses had me on IV and anti biotics.. Heat forced the venom to the bite site, while antibiotics helped(should of mention that was a huge help, but when shtf it’s harder to find antibiotics) but anyway the fourth day the Dr finally came in and squeezed it like a pimple and everything came out.. Green, black, some what looked like churned up white meat, gunky stuff.. Overall.. Heat and antibiotics are key.
Just fucking EEWWWWWWWWW
I was big by one two years ago. Mother fucker hurt
You clearly have no idea what you are talking about. I was not by one of these things. It’s fucking nasty.

This dude in thailand got bit twice on his penis… Fhl
I was bitten on my back 3 times last Dec. Took me a mo and half to heal. Was really bad but luckily I made it through without surgery. Depends on where it bites you. If its in a softer or more fleshy area, the venom will spread deeper and farther and may necrotize easier. If it bites you in a more muscular area like it did me on my back, the venom doesn’t spread as far. No anti-venom in the US, you just have to wait and see. Gave me strong anti-biotics to halt secondary infections. The venom did however cause my bp to rise to 240/130 and caused a blood stroke in my left eye which caused partial blindness. Have had a hard time with my bp ever since and on 3 meds.
That was only after a couple hours of being bit. Got much worse.

I would last time I was at the hospital for something basic it was 8 doctors in the hallway on google trying to figure it… its a cucky society
Dude google brown recluse learn something because you will open mouth insert foot if it is not taken care of i don’t care who you are the venom will eat a hole in you
My little brother got bit 3 times at once on his leg. He had a fever for a day and 3 tiny little pin sized black spots. No hospital and no drugs, and that was all that happened to him. My best friend got bit on the back of his neck by one. Same thing, no drugs or anything. All it did was swell up for a day or two and have a pin sized black spot. As long as your immune system isn’t compromised, I don’t think it’s a big deal to get bit by one.
10 cc’s of dexamethasone injected equally around the bite CURES it!

No hope for you.
No researcher them. My wife is a Dr. She has seen what they can do. If someone is allergic , it can be much worse even fatal..
If you are living off the grid how are you going to see this article?
Hopefully the reason is determined as to why your blood pressure is off. When poison enters the blood one never knows. Good luck
You’re a hero stay strong
It’s not the poison that causes the damage. It’s the bacteria they carry, so treating the bite for poison isn’t going to do anything.
The bacteria causes necrosis , where the infected tissue dies. It’s the bacteria and rot they treat at the hospital.
Knowing WHAT you’re dealing with goes a long way to treating it effectively .
Tell Harambe I said hi.
The venom is capable of causing necrosis, but for the most part you’re right about secondary infection being the main cause for tissue necrosis in healthy people.

Was taking a piss. Got bit on top of my foot, where ankle meets foot, knew as soon as it happened too. I grabbed some TP real quick n made sure not to smash the sucker, took a look at him thru a cup on the counter, knew instantly what just happened. Now I don’t go to hospitals, never have since 9 and never will. My bro in law actually said one day, “what happens if you get real sick one day or something n HAVE TO go, you gunna just die?”. Absolutely, I said. My mentality is not right, I KNOW.. but none the less, you would LITTERALLY have to knock me out to get me to go to one. ANNNYWAYYSS… I took my straight razor, cut a 1/4″ cross right on top of the bite that was already reddening starting to ‘puff’, I put a rubber band around my leg right above the bite. At this point I’m starting to worry…I heard ammonia is a hard astringent; I grab a bottle of windex and go to town on the bite. I took some guas soaked it in honey and wrapped it, duct tape over that, pounded the ibuprofen….Day 2, owww Painnn. Day 3, subsided substantially. Day 4, took off gaus n it was red bulleye with white in center. I popped it , yellow green n blood. Got the windex n repeated steps again. ..Day 7 I took off the guas n there was a little 1/8″ reddish (definitely not red ‘infection’) hole at bite site. Obviously it was getting better, much better. The bulleye was gone and was just a lil reddish hole. I left it air out for 3 more days and it started growing skin back on top. Today I have a scar on my bite site that looks like a BB gun accident . …..Common sense, calming down, and thinking on the fly.
Chop it off immediately!
Bleach !!!!!!! Kills the bacteria BLEACH !

Most BRS bites appear as a pimple. They are extremely common. It’s the people that have bad reactions that get the press and make it appear as every BRS bite becomes necrotic.
In the end, BRS bites won’t be the thing that kills anyone in SHTF.
There is no antivenin for brown recluse bites. Any dr will tell you that. Just wash the bitten area good & use meat tenderizer on it.

Cut off the limb. That may work.
Hahahahahaja
I usually pour whisky on my wounds. Lol
