It is a grim reality, will offend some, scare others, but planet earth and its weather are out to kill you.

That might be a bit of an over-statement, planet earth probably is not plotting against you specifically, but in general, we survive this big, old, blue globe despite its best efforts.

Apart from environments that are hostile to humans, animals, and insects that want to eat us or will make us sick, there is also the reality that most of us live in some area that can and does experience natural disasters.

Floods, tornadoes, hurricanes, earthquakes, wildfires – we spend most of our time even now, trying to make the best of a situation in a hostile environment.
