It sounds like something from a spy film such as from one of the Mission: Impossible movies but perhaps for whatever reason you decide to vanish, never to be heard from again.
It can be difficult since everyone usually knows at least one person who knows where they are at. Plus, it's hard to forget about the driver's license, family, and social security number.
