It’s not just the offending smell and filth on your teeth you have to also worry about — but the pain! Cavities come from somewhere and if during the collapse, you are not thinking about your teeth, eventually mouth disease will come!

We are reminded of a documentary of a survivor that decided to move to Alaska, in the middle of nowhere. Once a month he’d stop by a local (meaning about fifty miles away) area to pick up supplies like oatmeal – which it appeared he ate 24/7 – but he did not really care about his teeth.

The man who left civilization to become a wilderness man, ten years later, had a mouth of rotting, missing and diseased teeth. Never mind how it looked we cannot even imagine the discomfort and what that did to his overall health!

Point being, you need to be prepared and carry some common necessaries that will aid in dental health and care. And, if the day should come you might need to fill or pull a tooth? As a survivor, you should be prepared to do anything.

I used a mixture of Anbesol and Goody’s headache powder made a paste out of them and packed it into my cavity after washing it out with a waterpik this kept me going for well over a year without the excruciating pain well I worked up the nerve and money to go to an oral surgeon to have it removed lol
