It’s broad daylight during the middle of the afternoon. You hear a knock at the door. A smiling man, holding a clipboard. You open the door, and he starts to question you about your air conditioning unit. He asks if he can step inside. You pause, thinking of some excuse. Now isn’t a good time: you have errands to run, places to go. Safety isn’t even something on your mind right now, let alone your primary concern. You’re about to tell him no thank you, and then all of a sudden, he pushes his way through the door. Now, what?
It’s not something that just happens in the movies. When an intruder enters your home in the real world, it can be nearly impossible to think of a plan B.
