We have all seen in the movies when the good guy stops the bad guy when a well-placed knife gets thrown. It most cases it looks effortless and is also lethal.
Unfortunately, Hollywood fantasies are just that, and the reality is that knife throwing is a bit of an art that is only perfected through a lot of practice.
While its use in a survival situation is minimal, it is an important skill to possess.
As with your firearm, it is highly unlikely you will ever have to use a knife in an offensive or defensive manner, but having the skill is just one more way of ensuring you are prepared for the chaos of a survival situation or SHTF moment.
The video on the next page shows you the basics of knife throwing – Russian Army Style. Check it out!

He throws like a sissy, just sayin…..
Why would anyone throw their weapons away…in real life situation?
Runs like one as well!
This misses a lot of the more important information of knife throwing but for a very basic guide it’s not awful
This video really gives you no useful information on knife throwing. Waste of time.

Throw your Hi-Point before you throw your knife.
Knife throwing is a last resort. You have a better chance holding the knife and using it against an attacker.

Good video thanks
I will make a spear and throw it before a chance to break my knife!!!!!
LOL
You bud
there is no practical application to throw your knife. that’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard.
I’d take you within 15ft.. You better check your facts Vendetta.
I’d prove you wrong also, I’d take you in 25ft..
In 15 feet and you moving I still have better odds of survival holding the knife vs throwing it at you and praying I hit something vital
Besides I can stab you multiple times versus the once with throwing. Not to mention disabling cuts to the wrist, arm, shoulder area and if necessary thigh or hit arteries in the neck, armpit or thigh and have you bleed out once those are severed.
So yes, you may take me, but I won’t go alone.
Lol then youd be without a knife vs me with one if you missed. I guarantee ill have mine when I get to you, possibly even yours…

I use the same technique with my Ka-Bar fighting knife. I’m a United States Marine!
Throwing your weapon is a bad way to disarm yourself 😉
watch the u tube translation it’s hilarious
Respect
Toss only weapon. Drather hang on to it
Yep, that’s why I don’t bother throwing my tommy either.
russian style is no different than what I use now….which is ME style. And there isn’t anything making russian style better than anything else on the planet. Practice a whole lot and any style you learn will work.
Im just posting here so I can watch it later. Someone comment so I get a notification please lol
Solange!!!
LOL! What’s the first thing someone in a movie does when they run out of ammo in their sidearm? (Well, some movies)
I
That’s the same technique I used as an 11 year old Boy Scout in 1958. The guy in the blue Navy camies throws kinda stiff, needs to loosen up a bit.

Yes!
Thought you’d dig this lol.

Get a throwing tomahawk, your just going to Pisa someone off throwing a knife.
I trust a knife over a gun as my primary weapon one on one. No chance of a misfire, jam, or missed shot.
My kabar is excellent for throwing.
Never separate yourself from your weapon…Even if thrown well, a knife won’t penetrate body armor nor will it insure incapacitation.
Javelin is for throwing a knife is an in hand weapon. That like throwing you rifle
