How To Successfully Utilize Plastic In Your Garden

When you think of your organic garden then think of the word “plastic” there seems to be an odd contradiction going on somewhere. Plastics have their place but in a garden? Don’t plastic take forever to break down and isn’t that bad foe the earth?

Well, sure. But plastic sheets do have their place. It can certainly be of use outside when attempting to section off a pieces of land. Holding the plastic down with spikes, thus killing weeds where they attempt to come up, the sheeting can be very helpful.

But remember, these are weeds we are preventing to grow and not vegetables or flowers. Well okay, maybe dandelions deserve an early death sentence – but those are weeds too, despite the pretty yellow color.

Sure, if strategically placed plastic can help during gardening, impeding weeds and helping your garden grow healthily.
