Most of us already know when and not if the SHTF we need to be prepared. A good many of us are already prepared. We have our bug-out bags, survival shelters, and even our emergency water supply all worked out in advance – and we can be very proud of our accomplishments.
However, we're often so focused on an imminent collapse that we tend to forget the simple things in life. Survival is not just about surviving a chaos situation in epic form but also managing to get past life’s little freak occurrences.
For instance, let’s say you are in your car, out in the middle of nowhere and the car breaks down. Luckily, your cell phone still gets some bars and you are able to call for help but it will not come until the following day. There you are, stuck in your car all night and all your survival gear is stowed comfortably at home, safe and sound, ready to be used.

Excellent!! No reason to NOT have one. So get off your butt and put one together.
I think this is a very smart idea my father taught me this also It was something he learned during the Great Depression I use a small bug out bag easier to carry then a coffee can or paint can like they’re using if I have to take off walking P.S. don’t forget your reflective mylar space blanket 🙂

Paint can with silicon home gasket works. Trust me half the people with a 35/40lb backpack ain’t going far. Don’t forget your ammo , shotgun and a rifle.
