If you have an attached garage to your house with a traditional garage door, unless you have taken precautions, that door is one of the most vulnerable entrance points in your entire house.

In most cases, figure out a way into the garage and because most people do not lock the internal garage door to the house, thieves can waltz into your home regardless of the security steps you have taken.

Even if they do not try and enter the house or if your garage is separate from your house, think about how much stuff you keep in your garage that thieves can make off with: Lawn mowers, vehicles, tools, etc.

That is why it is critical that you apply the same amount of attention to security for your garage as you do your house.
