In most cases, you just do not need “everything in the kitchen sink” regarding survival kit supplies and equipment. As you pack a survival kit, you only need what's necessary.
By tailoring your survival kit appropriately, preparation is ensured but you are not bogged down by too much stuff. Think about it — most of this “stuff” you will not use unless your situation is dire.
Your survival kit is your tool set to get through a survival situation or SHTF moment, but you have to pack sensibly, keeping in mind the possible scenarios you will be facing.
Pack too much and the kit becomes a burden, too little and you might end up missing something vital.
What do you include in your various survival kits? Let us know in the comments section below.
