How to Completely Disappear Without a Trace

mystery man disappearing

It sounds like something out of a spy caper film such as Mission: Impossible or one of the Jason Bourne movies. But perhaps, for whatever private reason, one day you decide to disappear, never to be heard from again.

It sounds difficult since everyone knows at least one person who knows of their existence. Plus, you can't forget about your social security number, driver's license and your family (if you have one).

What about your Mom, Dad, and maybe even your best friend? And what about your dog? You just can't leave them behind — or can you?

If you have a lot of attachments you may struggle with reading about how to disappear from the face of the earth. There's actually a lot more involved in this than you could have ever imagined.

If you're curious if you have what it takes to get away and leave behind everything without a trace, check out what you need to do to make this happen after the break!

I see so many people reported missing that go live in another city and choose to be homeless. I have a homeless ministry and would get contacted by family members searching for a lost father, brother, mother or sister. It’s sad because family members don’t know what, why or how someone could just walk away from their life they had.

I did it for two years, lived with room mates, had nothing in my name. I had a job, cashed my check at a bank with no bank account. Had a track phone that you pay as you use it. It’s really easy

you would of had to of had a social security number to work anywhere. people at work would of had your pay as you go phone number or a contact number for you and that phone would of had a sim card. You would have been recorded on cctv at the bank. Not as easy as you might think.

about the only way would be to settle all debts, sale out, buy up a couple tons of supplies……go to alaska……cache supplies in the remotest place you can get to……go back to civilization, sale truck and trailer…..use that money to buy more supplies and pay someone to haul you back close to your spot and never come out of the Woods for several years…..assume another name and work for cash when you need to for supplies…..

Tim, you were totally ON the Grid….Job, SSN, Taxes, Tax ID Number, Employer Records, Workmans Comp, SSI, Medicare, Unemployment Taxes employer paid to state….big list of how your tied to grid….

There are so many men, women and teens out there that just walked away from their family and friends and disappeared in plain sight. It’s really easy to sink into the concrete.

In a nutshell, burn you photos and Ids. Terminate social media and gradually withdraw your money, ditch the car and (I love this part) walk or bicycle to your new life. . . . Saving you from carpal tunnel one click at a time!

Spent 3 months out of reach once lived in the woods worked at odd jobs for cash ate less than I thought I wood and it is very hard to completely disappear .but I did have arraignments for communication that would have been hard to trace.

Let’s say your a fugitive… Accused of something you didn’t do but you know that as long as your within reach they won’t work as hard to find the truth…but if you disappear awhile th truth may come out or th time away will help you gather your wits and figure how to mount a more favorable defense….just saying not that I’d know from personal experience …

And I might ad this works best before your formally arrested and charged with something….

Done it twice….last time I disappeared for 3 years…no one with any connection to me personally knew where I was or if I was dead or alive…

Met some hippies years ago, that tried talking me into joining their group. They said first burn all your ID’s, SS card, check books, credit cards. Then travel with them planting, harvesting, and selling weed all over the country.
