One area that often gets overlooked when building a survival kit is the First Aid Kit.

Almost everyone who has a bug-out bag has a smaller version of a fully geared First Aid Kit, but often, whether by design or neglect, a fuller version of the mini-kit either lacks all you may need or has stuff that survives well beyond its expiration date – rendering it useless or less than effective when you need it.

It seems like it is either that, or we all have a closet that has everything known to man kind for medical care, but it is not well organized and has the same issue with expired components.
