The debate as to what to prepare for and how much is one that is always in the undercurrent within the survivalist community.
Some maintain that a dire survival situation is inevitable and given that, survivalists should prepare for the worst as a starting point.
Others maintain that we have nothing to worry about at all except for the occasional inconvenience of a power outage due to a storm – at most a few days of “surviving” before normalcy sets back in.
The vast majority of us fall somewhere in the middle of those two extremes.
There are, however, known challenges if a dire survival incident occurs that will confront the unprepared.
