Tractors, in some iteration, go hand in hand with maintaining a property.
This is particularly true if your property has a lot of brush, trees or lawn spaces to mow and maintain.
Most of us would only sheepishly call it a “tractor,” but that riding mower you use to keep your lawn maintained operates on the same principles as the tractor a farmer uses to maintain his fields and reap his harvest.
Chances are it is smaller and less powerful, certainly easier to operate, but all of the same principles of apply – including the dangers associated with carelessness or misuse.
Flipping a riding mower or having a flash fire when refueling, toxic fumes and the inherent danger of a lot of metal, moving parts pose the exact same risk as a farming tractor.
So much so that the same safety principles apply; to see some advice on operating your riding mower or tractor safely, check out the next page.
