This is for all the whine bags crying about hurting the trees . I cut this one down n fed it through a chipper !!! Didn’t use a single piece of it for any thing !!!

A disrespect for nature is a disrespect for life and therefore God. The ecosystem matters along with every single tree.

Here on Arizona we used to have larger pine forests. But many of our pine forests were stupidly destroyed. Cut down to build homes which rotted away in a relatively short period of time. All those buildings that were constructed out of wood are gone along with the forest forever. Human stupidity is a disgraceful or shameful thing, as is the egotistical view that the life of our trees and forests don’t matter.
Try to become a more mature and intelligent person that can have a greater respect for life and the planet we live on, otherwise we will all perish in our species own stupidity as the resources of the earth disappear because of the greedy idiocy of humanity over the process of time.

Along with the forest forever! Lmao. How will we ever grow another forest again? Idk?

  6. Brad Czernik said:

Charles Hawkins would change his mind real quick in a survival situation. That or he’d live next to one tree until he used it ALL LMAO

I’ve seen a thousand guys just like you hugging the trees . “Each one matters” cut one down two will grow in its place if allowed to do so . I’m unsure of what your eating ad your do concerned for plant life .

  8. Ryan John Kuttler said:

Your just a negative person n obviously you hate humanity most likely because at some point some one picked on you or you didn’t have any friends . Get over it n move on w your life

  10. Ryan John Kuttler said:

N you do realize Arizona is a fucking desert right . I wonder why there may not be many pine trees there let me really think hard about that

  11. James Heneck said:

The simple way to put this Charles Benjamin Hawkins is if it’s between me living or the tree. Trust me, that tree is going to die. I love nature as much as the next guy. Now stop being such a tree hugging pansy and shut the$#%&!@*up.

  12. Charles Benjamin Hawkins said:

Ryan your an an insulting jerk with a low intelligence. Tree care professional, lol, as if, if you were you’d have more respect. Comics are digital now. But hey why don’t you grasp at straws and try to blame me for the paper making practices of other people. Yes Arizona is a desert. But it is also a densely populated conifer forest. a forest which use to be much larger and covered a greater portion of the earth. That level of deforestation contributes to global warming and forest fires.
I’ve been working with trees for twenty years, chopping a notch into the side of one, is a stupid$#%&!@*hole thing to do.

  13. Charles Benjamin Hawkins said:

For all your tough talk. All I see here are complete morons trying to self justify their idiotic behaviors. You not tough and calling me a pansy is laughable coming from immature people that choose to stoop to insults because their not intelligent or mature enough to form reasonable respectful sentences like am actual adult.
You go right ahead and eat a pine tree idiot. When you get sick and die to from eating something that won’t actually sustain you in a survival situation, remember there was at least someone trying to give logical advice.

  14. Charles Benjamin Hawkins said:

Eating a notch out of a pine tree is stupid. You’ll get sick and might even die. Who ever posted this online is just trying to hurt people.

Never take instruction from anyone who would use a knife in such a manner. He will need page 4 from professionals. This person is an IDIOT.

  16. Ray Lambert said:

Im surrounded by nothing but pines. They are dominating and invasive. And the ambient temp of a pine forest is 10 degrees greater than other trees. Avoid pine forests in the summertime

  17. Pat Orton said:

Who cares about a fuckin tree, especially if your lost, hungry, and cold

  18. Jeff Horn said:

I respect ur love of trees Charles Benjamin Hawkins but in a survival situation, would u expect someone to lay down n die instead of utilizing their surroundings to live? I respect wildlife as well but if I’m starving n trying to survive wildlife becomes more delicious than pretty.

Maine is like 70 something Percent forested with pine…..

  21. Ryan John Kuttler said:

Ask around st your local tree services. Alot of them don’t use the wood they take down for any thing n they would probably give it away

  22. Charles Edward S. Crook said:

Charles, I’m sorry to say, but you have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about.

Eating the inner layers of pine bark will neither make you sick, nor kill a healthy tree. Likewise, eating pine nuts(given they are roasted) will not make you sick, much less expire.

Pine nuts are a staple in many types of cooking, and tea from pine needles is an Appalachian favorite. Pine trees have been a renewable resource for well over 100 years. The making of turpentine, and tapping if live trees is much more invasive than small slivers taken from healthy trees.

Simply put, you are talking out if your$#%&!@*

  23. Charles Benjamin Hawkins said:

No I speak from horticultural experience and a greater wealth of wisdom. However I can understand if you’re not intelligent or mature enough to comprehend the preservation of nature or a human life. This world is apparently filled with people that eat stupid things or do stupid things thinking it benefits them.
Eating a pine trees will not sustain your health. Cutting into the pine trees cambium layer will kill the tree through infections or the loss of transference of sap to the top of the tree.

  24. Charles Edward S. Crook said:

Yeah okay, point me to any peer reviewed research that proves your argument.

They have used pine nuts in cooking for a millenia in the middle east. Turpintine has been around since the 1600’s, and is still used today. It is widely used in the U.S. in the form of Vicks vapor rub.

So yes, you are still talking out of your$#%&!@*sir.

  25. Charles Benjamin Hawkins said:

You are factually incorrect. I am typing with my fingers and your stupid suggestions that I am talking out of my$#%&!@*only serves to make you look like an insulting immature jerk or idiot.
Pier review research? Try reading any horiculture book you ignorant unread jerk.
Pine nuts are eatible if yes. But pine nuts aline will not sustain your health.
Cutting a wedge out of a tree compromises the health of the tree.

  26. Charles Benjamin Hawkins said:

Turpentine is not healthy to drink. What freaking planet are you from, because I don’t think it is earth or anywhere comparitive to reality or the real world.
Telling people to eat pine trees is totally irresponsible and stupid.

  27. Ryan John Kuttler said:

Not mine to sell bud I’m just an employee. I’ve tried explain to my boss that the wood we take down has value but he has no desire to get into that. Tree service is just one of many things we do n he has a large company it’s not worth his time

  28. Ryan O'Sullivan said:

Pine trees also produce the amanita mushroom! The super Mario mushroom, the Santa clause mushroom, most importantly the god mushroom and the fruit of the tree!

  29. Nathan Ekers said:

You need to drink some turpentine…. This post is about survival, not everyone going out n chopping chunks out of a pine tree just to see if it works. And if it killed ppl, I’d be dead. As a proud Appalachian who studies survival techniques along with owning a sawmill, and forested land which I timber, not clear cut. I know for a fact you’re an idiot who is talking out of your$#%&!@*

  30. Charles Edward S. Crook said:

I was not suggesting drinking turpentine you window licker. I mentioned it as support to the practice of continually scarring a pine tree. I even gave supporting statements backing up the reference of turpentine. Only a paste eater would think I suggested drinking it.

Also, I never eluded to eating ONLY pine bark or pine nuts. Again, you have no idea what you are talking about. You proclaim that I am wrong, yet offer no substantiated proof as to why. I have given multiple examples as proof to my statements, you have given only ad hom and conjecture.

  31. Charles Benjamin Hawkins said:

Do you have a reading comprehension problem. I said citing into the tree is bad for its health. What are you some type of tree eating and killing caveman.
Cutting a wedge out of a pine tree damages the tree and opens it up to infections. The human body need more then what a pine tree can provide to sustain itself. You can also get very sick from eating a pine tree.
This post jeopardizes the safety of both the forest and anyone not skilled enough or knowledgeable enough to properly harvest from a pine tree without hurting the tree or getting their self sick. It is a totally irresponsible post.

  32. Charles Benjamin Hawkins said:

If you need to eat a pine tree in order to survive you are not much of a survivalist.
Either you have no hunting or trapping skills or you some type of crazy person huddled next to a pine tree thinking it’s going to sustain your life.
Wedging the pine tree is totally irresponsible and damages the tree. Pine nuts are often difficult to harvest.
This post is bad information and counteracts more relevant survival expertise while jeopardizing the health of the survivalist and the trees.

  33. Charles Benjamin Hawkins said:

Please save us from the stupidity of backwards people amd their tree killing ways.
It’s almost as though some humans failed to evolve in their intelligence and are going backwards trying to become tree rating cavemen.
People are not neanderthal anymore. It’s alright to eat real food and spare the trees life and maybe your own.
