Flash Floods Are Deadly – Here is How to Avoid Them – Or Survive Them!

On a recent July weekend, nine and probably 10 people, many of them children, lost their lives to a flash flood in the Tonto National Forest, north of Phoenix Arizona.

We all have heard about flash floods and if you live in certain parts of the country know well how violent and deadly they can be.

Most of America, however, has no clue as to how quickly water can rise, how much power it can possess and how deadly it can be.

In fact, it is the number one killer associated with thunderstorms.

Worse, many view flash floods as something they see from time to time on cable news and it always seems it happens out West or in Texas.
