Our self-proclaimed Fat Guys In the Woods are very concerned about water safety. They pretty much believe that if you are going to get water from a stream or lake that seems somewhat suspect it's probably a good idea to leave it alone.

However if you must take from that stream then be sure to boil your water before drinking. You can always pour it into a pan or, if you have the right thermos, canteen or container, stick it in or around your fire and allow the water to come to a boil inside.

In other words, it's a good idea to be prepared with a container that can go through some trials.

However, the Fat Guys experience there is a mild disaster that takes place that could have turned out horribly if the guy really got lost in the woods. Where accidents happen there are always consequences and one of the guys has to suffer from this mishap.
