Everything There is to Know About Storing Fuel for the Future

When prepping and storing supplies, it's important to remember to include everything you'll need to ensure an item works. For example, including a generator without gas is just like packing a rifle but forgetting the ammunition. For a generator to be useful to you after a collapse, you need to have a plan in place to store fuel.

This is also the case if you don't care to end up like people who are unable to retrieve gas after a natural disaster such as Hurricane Sandy. Having a fuel storage plan in place means buying and correctly treating a minimum amount of fuel that'll last you through the catastrophe. This could mean storing enough fuel for a generator or having enough gas to get you to a homestead or bug out location.

It sure is easier to purchase fuel now and store it so that you'll have it in the case of an emergency. No one wants to have to stand in line to get fuel when there's a disaster at hand. However, here are a few things to keep in mind when storing fuel long-term.
