25 years ago, the concept of an EMP rendering our vehicles inoperable was beyond most of our comprehension.
Vehicles had little if any, computerized management systems, which made repairing them easy (with a manual) and what they did have if compromised did not kill it.
An EMP could happen and certain things would not work, but the vehicle, with a few repairs, would more than likely run.
Fast forward to today, where you cannot engage a vehicle without first engaging a computerized system and you see why an EMP attack has a lot more impact today than 25 years ago.
