This is one of those practical DIY projects that serve both a survival and practical, non survival purpose – mainly if you camp a lot.

In a true survival situation, if it is dire enough, eventually, the sewage system where you live will go on the blink.

This can be because of lack of power for pumping stations, back-flooding or even just simple clogging as your entire community is affected by whatever it is you are facing.

Even in rural areas where you are not on a municipal sewage system, whatever arrangement you have fail, leaving you with few options.

Your surroundings are an option, but that would grow old quickly, not to mention, could land you in trouble if you live in a populous area.

That is why everyone should have an emergency toilet set up and ready to go at a moment's notice.
