Did You Know You Could Dehydrate THESE Foods?

Here are some great ideas below for you to store in your prepping pantry. Give them a try. Some of these may become family favorites!

And then there are all the foods you may not have known could be dehydrated. Here’s a list of nine, although you may know of others (let us know in the comment section):

1.Beets

2.Sweet corn

3.Carrots

4.Horseradish

5.Parsnips

6.Okra

7.Peas

8.Sweet peppers (green, red, yellow)

9.Pumpkin

The higher the moisture content in a food, the longer it will take to dehydrate, anywhere from forty (40) to sixty (60) minutes. But remember, before dehydrating most foods need to be treated. Blanching is one method, to stop enzymatic reactions and certain organisms.
