Water is critical to everyday survival and vital to making it through a survival situation. We all know that, but do you know how to find water if you are in a survival situation?

More importantly, would you be able to locate water that was clean enough to drink without posing a threat to your health if you could not start a fire or did not have purification methods at your avail?

Even if you had a way to purify the water you collect, would you know where to look?

Most of locating water is common sense, as is determining if it is portable at the source or has to be purified.

By paying attention to fauna and “tells” that water is close by, you can all but ensure that you can locate water when you need to do so.
