In the majority, snakes are not poisonous and if you are bitten by one, the largest threat to you is actually infection of the wound and exposure to bacteria that that is prominent in just about every snake's mouth.

If you are bitten by a non poisonous snake, even if the bite seems small, if blood is drawn, treat it as a serious wound because it can develop into something very serious without even having venom be present.

    The top one is a copperhead the second looks like a cottonmouth. Both are highly venomous and will ruin your day fast. They look to be arranged in venomous order.

    Them dang copperheads don’t move until you step on them. Them dang cottonmouths are foul bad tempered and strike up while the rest strike out, never met one I liked.I kinda like rattlers they taste like chicken.

    Hate to tell you… Copperheads aren’t poisonous. Neither are timber rattles or any snake for that matter… They’re venomous… Terminology is very important. Poisonous snake would be if you lick the snake you die. But a venomous snakes bites you, you die.
