Could You Identify These Dangerous Snakes In Nature?

dangerous snakes

In the majority, snakes are not poisonous and if you are bitten by one, the largest threat to you is actually infection of the wound and exposure to bacteria that that is prominent in just about every snake's mouth.

If you are bitten by a non poisonous snake, even if the bite seems small, if blood is drawn, treat it as a serious wound because it can develop into something very serious without even having venom be present.

Although this article covers poisonous snakes in Kansas but the description of the various, major venomous snakes is a reliable guide for most of the south and Midwest.

You should, however, check with your state's Fish and Wildlife organization to see what, if any poisonous snakes exist in your state or region.

On the next page, we cover the most common venomous snakes for the region cited above.

Yep they are all venomous you id them by the shape of their heads mainly oval shape is no venom and diamond shape venom. Now you do have snakes that look nearly alike like the milk snake and coral snake, but there is a rhyme to that.

The red yellow rule only applies to the coral snake- black on yellow kill a fellow, yellow on red you are dead and in the continental United States, all snakes that have the stripes running from head to tail, are all non-venomous- this does not apply to snakes imported from other countries-

One time I walked up on a timder rattler nest .they had little horns and there where ten of them bastards. Luckily it was a 104 degrees and they didn’t pick up my Dody heat.I’d rather fight a pit bull than a snake .at least I can see it and not die from it

All four have diamond shaped heads meaning they’re posionous. Best left alone or killed. Cane break & Timber rattler, Water Moccasin not sure about the last one. Kind of looks like Hillary to me.

Rule of thumb. If in doubt kill first then identify as deemed necessary.
