Ideally, if you find yourself in a survival situation, you grab your fully stocked bug-out bag or dig into your survival kit, pull out your survival fishing kit and go to town catching a protein rich dinner.
Like every other aspect of life, however, survival situations or SHTF moments rarely adhere to the principle of “ideally.”
Realistically, there is a good chance you will not have access to the tools you need and will end up having to improvise, using your surroundings and knowledge for everything from building a shelter to purifying water to making your own tools to catch food.
One fairly simple way to do that with fishing is to make your own primitive fish hook so you can get access to some of the most easily caught protein sources on earth.
Check out the next page to see how to use materials available virtually everywhere to make this amazing fishhook.
