We all know that firearm laws vary from state to state; some follow very strict mandates and others are much more lax. The same goes for knife laws.
In some states, you may not carry a switchblade or a Balisong (butterfly knife), and in other states, you can't even own them. That's not all either: in some states, you can pretty much have and carry whatever you feel like.
Learning these knife laws can go a long way towards keeping you from getting yourself into trouble down the road, particularly on road trips. Local police typically don't give any leeway towards those who are ignorant of local and state laws, so informing yourself will no doubt prevent some problems in the future.
To learn what your state laws are, and to become informed on the knife laws of every state, check out the comprehensive list on the next page.

The Missouri knife laws are incorrect, folding knives under 4 inches are legal, fixed blade are not legal concealed. get your facts correct before you get someone charged with a felony you f’n idiots.
Your Texas info is also wrong. Texas knife laws are some of the most restrictive in the United States. It is illegal in Texas to own a gravity knife. It is illegal to open or conceal carry any knife with a blade over 5 ½ inches long, throwing knives or stars, dirks, daggers, stilettos, and other stabbing knives, bowie knives, swords, or spears.
What you have for California is correct. But, that is very basic information and just the tip of the iceberg concerning the knife laws here.
