Like it or not, being adequately prepared for a survival situation entails a lot more than just jotting down a few lists, buying a bunch of stuff, throwing it in a closet and waiting for the crisis to hit.

If that is your approach, then be prepared to forget what you have and find stuff all over that you “could have used” the last time you were facing a survival situation.

Also be prepared to accumulate a lot of redundant equipment, materials and supplies, while not getting everything you need.

Being prepared for survival requires a high level of organization and nothing makes that easier than if you have a “survival binder,” that outlines your plan, equipment, materials, supplies, and procedures when the big moment arrives.
