Bad Buds: Plants That Inhibit Other Plants’ Growth

When we think about plants we probably theorize they are all the same thing and planting them together may not help but certainly, cannot hurt them. Unfortunately, that is not altogether true!

As it turns out there are some chemicals in various plants and trees that can indeed harm and even kill their brothers and sisters! Why it happens no one is certain but the fact it does happen is annoying, disturbing, and a little frustrating.

One gardener told us to look at it from the perspective of human on human relationships. We may all be of the same species, some get along better than others, but obviously, we do not all mix well. It may not be a chemical inhibitor but there is definitely something there that causes disassociation and ill health.
