Make This Awesome DIY Stand For Your Hammock

Just about every loves retreating to a hammock on a hot, lazy summer day. They're even good on cool days if you have a blanket to drape over yourself.

Most people, however, are surprised when they learn that the hammock is the inexpensive part of the scenario – buying a hammock stand can get very pricey.

In fact, a reliable stand will cost a minimum of around $80 and some even get up into the hundreds of dollars.

You can, though, build your own, fairly easily and quickly and best of all, for around $40.

To make this awesome hammock stand, the materials and equipment you will need are 8 8′ 2×4 boards, 4 1/2″ diameter, 12″ long bolts, 6 1/2″ diameter, 8″ long bolts, 10 1/2″ nuts, 10 1/2″ washers, measuring tape, circular saw or chop saw, drill and 1/2″ paddle bit and screws.
