7 Places to Survive the Inevitable Collapse That’s Coming

Fort Jefferson - Key West, Florida

Most of us who are heavily into prepping and everything that has to do with survival probably have an idea what we will be doing when the grid goes down, and that collapse happens.

We’ve made plans, have our emergency kits ready, and we are ready to bug out the minute the call comes.

However, while some of us are willing for a rudimentary level, we are not altogether sure where it is we are going to when, inevitably, the SHTF!

Many will bug out in the wilderness but do they know what that entails?

Some preppers may need a bit more direction and over on the following page we can give you some ideas where you might want to go to survive if your bug out or even bug in plans fall flat or crumble.

Plus, these shelters are built to withstand catastrophic events, and I don't know about you, but that's pretty reassuring if we're dealing with a bomb threat or another serious SHTF situation!

Ok, key west and several islands…yeah, no! Then you are trapped and easy to find!
Canada and other cold places, not so much.
    How about somewhere in between??

Why add Dry Tortugas on this list is beyond me. There is no fresh water on this island. You would need to use a reverse osmosis filtration system. One large enough to be able to use in your gardens also you would need to bring your own live stock as there is non on the island.

Why run and hide? Be a Proud American! Stand your ground! Protect what is yours! Grow your own food, hunt and fish if you have to. Hell I am a woman able and ready to protect myself and my family. To fight for America and my freedom!

I have a place. You’d be the dumbest idiot in all of the land to tell people where you’re going. My place is made of limestone and granite. It’s an old mansion that nobody really knows about. The people near it don’t even know it’s a great stronghold because 99.9% of the 2 towns near it never even heard of the word Typography. There’s free food in the fields every day and it’s right next to a river. I have no interest in these 7 moron deathtrap locations in this list. You won’t be living long if you pick a place on this list. If you do, it’s because you’ll wise up and move out of them.

That’s dry Tortuga, I have been there. Don’t think you would make it for very long with out some outside help.

Right that’s only r the Rich and important people but for those who work hard in life get left behind wow

well, I have my own places and im sure as hell not sharing them on the internet.

Why on earth would you isolate yourself in a location with limited resources? Sure, some of them are hard to access and some easy to defend but unless you’re hauling in supplies for a prolonged stay, you’re going to run out of basic supplies quickly. Hey, at least the cockroaches will have a feast.

Dumbest list I’ve ever seen. Your pictured location “Fort Jefferson” is a national park and tourist attraction. “Difficult to get to”? They have ferries there and daily snorkeling. You can even buy souvenirs. I can only guess that the other selections are as dumb. What about the White House? Why wasn’t that on the list. Probably be pretty safe during emergency times. Or , maybe Fort Knox. LMAO

Yea, because in an economic crisis, the ferries and tourist schticks will be all over the place…

God the stupidity of people really never ceases to amaze me.

There is not even a fresh water source on the Dry Tortugas. Hence the name.

Fortresses are great defenses, but you are required to man posts and store provisions, which means constant resupply. That entire center courtyard will need to be a garden

Why the$#%&!@*would I want to go to ft Jefferson? So I can die of thirst and barely feed myself?

  16. Jay Genske said:

Better titles “7 places to go to survive the inevitable collapse so you are no where near my place that is way better”

This looks to be the Dry Tortuga an island south west of Key West.
Bring your own water hence the name “Dry”

The inevitable collapse that was supposed to happen 17 years ago? Or another super secret collapse?

  19. Karl Harrelson said:

Ft. Jefferson is NOT a good place to survive. They don’t call them the Dry Tortugas for nothing. There is no running water.
