You would think if a storage item was said to be effective in some special way that it would do exactly as claimed. However, that is no always true.

Unless you get information on certain items straight from the manufacturer, not the seller, there is no guarantee that a storage container will last indefinitely or has no GMO.

This is especially true for long term storage. After all, who wants to go after a much needed foodstuff ten years down the line and discover your food has gone bad?

A company with integrity will tell you straight-up how long their product will last. If they are reluctant, then there is probably a good reason.
