It's pretty incredible that while you're bugging out in the wilderness, a pine tree can keep you alive for days. Not only that, but when SHTF and you find yourself without food or shelter, a pine tree can be used for food, shelter, and much, much more.

A pine tree's bark is edible, and you can also use its sticky sap, needles and almost every other part of a pine tree for some sort of survival use. Needless to say, if you're unsure what a pine tree looks like while in nature, make sure you can identify one.
In fact, you should also consider planting one at your bug out cabin or backyard. Learn how to use its sap, needles, and branches for shelter now, before SHTF. Also, when the collapse does take place, be sure you know where to locate pine trees in the event of an emergency.
