Consumption rate is perfectly sustainable in our region of the world, it’s industrialized food industries that hurt consumer supplies. Making chemical foods, artificial preservatives, the waste from packaging, etc.
This was done to line the pockets of fat cats, & close down small town & individual healthy farming markets.
They bought tons of land & use chemicals to raise production, pesticides to prevent insects, and artificial colors and waxes to make these genetically altered products LOOK appealing.

Soak 2 lbs of pine cones in vinegar and molasses overnight. The next day place in a Dutch oven and cook over ashes. It tastes like pot roast.
