While we all hope that in a survival situation, our stock of ammo would suffice, the reality is for most, unless you can make your own ammo, eventually, the stock will run out.

When that happens, the ability to kill game for meat or protect yourself is greatly diminished. In reality, if you have your own security in mind, the stock of ammo you have will be rationed, reducing your ability to hunt and kill game quite a bit, long before you run out of bullets.
