If you have done any home improvement projects at all, chances are very good you know full well the miracle liquid that is WD-40.

Growing up, my father and grandfather used WD-40 for just about everything – even some things – like as lighter fluid on the outdoor grill – that you were not supposed to use it for!

Created in the early 1950's as a rust-prevention solvent and degreaser for use in the aerospace industry, WD – Water Displacement – 40 – it took the engineers at Rocket Chemical Company 40 tries to get it right has literally thousands of uses beyond what its intended use.

It is a lubricant, cleaner, accelerant, loosener, protectant, displacer and corrosive and those are just its general functions.
