The best time to look for your emergency survival supplies is probably not going to be when you’re running around in a panic when SHTF and your world is spinning upside down.

Hopefully, if and when that happens, you’ve already got a plan in place as to where you’re going, how you’re going to get there and what you’re going to do for food and water. Everything else is secondary.

It’s important to start thinking about all of the other things that can help you when you’re out on your own. What tools will you require to be a successful survivor? What items will be excellent to have in a pinch?
