You've likely heard of WD-40, but most preppers are unaware just how valuable this penetrating oil and water-displacing spray is. The amazing truth is that WD-40 has more than a thousand uses and can be used for many SHTF tasks as well.

Since WD-40 can be utilized for just about anything, it should be taken advantage of during an emergency situation. If you take the time to learn its multiple uses for SHTF, you'll be prepared to handle various situations.

This oil and water-displacing spray are very easy to store, and it also comes in many sizes. It's easy to store in a survival pack, the back of your car, and you should have plenty of it in your bug out cabin as well. You never know when it may come in handy!

    First, the picture. Don’t use it in padlocks unless you have to to get one unstuck. Use graphite lube for locks as preventive maintenance. If it’s too late then ok.
    2nd. It says to spray boots. Hell no. I spend big bucks on really high quality boots, WD 40 can soften the leather and also remove factory waterproofing on higher end boots. Bad advice. In a pinch, maybe, but otherwise I not recommend it.

    Thanks. It also said to use it on zippers, I use wax and would strongly recommend that instead.

    Ahh yes, because when the SHTF you need to protect that bird feeder from squirrels…I only read the first two, because like usual, there were so many ads it was multiple pages before I got to the article, and only 2 amazing SHTF uses for wd40 before having to click to the next ad filled page for the next two…

    Beeswax is the best waterproofing material out there with maybe the exception of mink oil.

    Yeah, I’m a big fan of beeswax, it’s good for gear and personal use. I think you should always carry beeswax or carmex. It can have si many uses that are small but make a huge difference.
