The Thorny Dragon (or Thorny Devil, as it's sometimes referred to) is a small lizard that looks fearsome thanks to it's spine-covered body and thick leathery skin but it's not.

The Australian native's body is covered with sharp spines as a natural way to keep it safe from natural predators, however, the only creatures this animal wants to consume is bugs. You can find out more in the following video.

Like most lizard species, the thorny dragon is an interesting creature. It has a unique walk that makes it rock a little as it's walking.

These animals also sometimes puff out their body with air to make themselves too big for predators to catch.
