At best, spiders can be an annoying aspect of camp life or a survival situation. They play a role, but also can startle people and in the worst cases bite them.
That is why it is very important have spider bites covered in your First Aid Kit.
In the vast majority of cases, a spider bit is as annoying as a fairly large mosquito bite or a bit from a Horse Fly.
In extreme cases, spider venom can cause an array of symptoms, including some that are life-threatening, which would be exacerbated in a survival situation.
What precautions do you take to avoid a confrontation with spiders or if you are bitten to treat the bite? Tell us below.
