For those of us who need a refresher on the history of medicine, Penicillin was the beginning of the antibiotic age. Discovered in 1928, a researcher named Alexander Fleming figured out that bacteria in a petri dish that was full of Staphylococcus colonies could not grow in the mold.
After Fleming isolated the source from the mold, the medical world would be changed for the better.
After that point doctors were able to treat conditions such as pneumonia and rheumatic fever which in the past killed people with lack of medical supplies that were affective.
Penicillin is a byproduct of the Penicillium fungus and, believe it or not, can be made at home. If a survivalist stocks up on the ingredients prior to a SHTF situation you won't have to worry about being without Penicillin during a SHTF situation.

Real useful! Hard to do when everything is perfect. Impossible in shtf situation. Is it just me, or is this site losing value?

Yeah. Seems easy. If all goes to hell to the point you can’t find penicillin. ..you really think you’re gonna find all the other “ingredients”???
Clear as mud. Plus you just spent hundreds on all the supplies you could have used buying fishmox and storing it in a cool, dry place. Will last for years.

Just have to hope the “collapse” isn’t caused by a Penicillin resistant bug because Antibiotics are handed out like candy.
Not to mention this is to make penicillin for injection. If you$#%&!@*anything up you are looking at a huge infection and likley death.
many people allergic to it anyways. Now show them how to make an epipen for the allergic reaction and to store antiallergic medication lol
