FEMA Markings: Why They Can Save a Survivalist’s Life

fema-markings

If you have even been in a large scale disaster area or know people who have — such as after dealing with a tornado or hurricane — then it's likely you've seen markings on the front access point of a building.

These markings are codes for FEMA searchers and they help tell a person and the searchers a lot about the building such as whether it's safe and if people can enter.

In a disaster zone, especially if it's an area that has turned into a system-wide catastrophe, a person's only option may be to forage and find survival supplies. If this happens it may mean entering an abandoned building that could potentially collapse on you.

While it may be wise to stay away from the building, if the situation is dire enough you may have no choice.

Knowing what these symbols mean and what they stand for will not only make the search easier, but it will also keep a person out of trouble!

This is similar to what the hobo code markings did years ago. Hobos communicated to help each other survive this way.

If you are dependent on fema to save you in a national emergency
You are foolish. We can’t trust our government anymore. Learn to survive with family and friends.
