    Gouging the pipe end to end takes away the strength of the pipe. It will lose a lot of ability to hold pressure without bursting at a score mark.

    Not even gonna read it. Pvc pipe becomes brittle over time. Especially sitting exposed in the elements

    Wood stain will also work just fine, just seal it with polyurethane when your done for the same affect. Fun little project to give pvc some added style
