Just about everywhere one can wonder there is a road that carries with it a degree of mystique, sense of danger or impending dread.

Often, whatever that road is known for becomes exacerbated and the stuff of legends with each re-affirming occurrence.

Weird weather, awful surface conditions, environmental hazards, strange occurrences, unexplained accidents, a sense of foreboding – even alleged paranormal experiences all factor into the aura of the road.

Once a particular road gets a reputation, it spreads like wildfire and if it goes on long enough, or evidence mounts that the reputation is deserved, is all but impossible to erase.

For some roads, the reputation is undeserved – one bad incident and it became known as trouble.

For other roads, though, the reputation has been earned, verified and earned again, over and over for as long as it has existed.
