This underground shelter is one just about all of us could get used to living in, be it short or long-term.
It has a master bedroom, a bunk room, kitchen area, group bathroom, living area and more than ample storage; it is almost like a mini submarine under the earth.
This is not the “fallout shelter” I grew up with in suburban Philadelphia although those were better than hiding under your school desk, which even as a child struck me as kind of dumb.
In fact, with a few modifications for storage, it is almost perfect. As is, it is an affordable way to provide bug-out shelter while not sacrificing the little comforts of life. We're thankful to the folks at Goods Home Design for putting this together. Check them out for additional photos and inspirational ideas!
